TGIF! A great day to look forward to off work as my friends and I will be trying out the $12 buffet @ Ishi Mura located at City Square Mall! The place was packed with people and we got to wait around 40min. They issued us a Q number and note down our contact so as to call us when there are seats available.
The interior of the buffet area got a total of 50 seating and each table were quite closed to one another. We were lucky enough to have choices of seating and chose a corner seats so that we won't have to worry about people knocking onto us when passing by to and fro with their food. However, the excess gas stoves storage were near us which causes some worries of its danger hahaha.
The buffet area were quite small however the quantity and quality of food are still worth its price. There are 4 sections such as Sushi, fried stuff, steamboat usual ingredients, meat and vegetables. Drinks are not included and need to order separately. Stone pot steamboat is only used when only 2 person are dining. For more than that would have to use the bigger steamboat pot. Miso is used as soup base.
The food are pretty fresh and I personally like how they slice the meats (beef, pork, chicken) into appropriate thin slices which make it easier and faster to cook. They taste very good too. The tempura, shishamo and onion rings are also well-fried hence the feeling of outer crunchiness and inner tenderness is there. We also took a lot of oyster mushroom as they do not have straw ones, simply loves its sweetness within. *Slurp*
For the price of only $12, this treat is simply value for money.
