I noticed there's always a queue outside this particular restaurant - Paradise Inn located at Nex. It's part of the Paradise Group and other associates are of different names but easily recognized with the word 'Paradise' in it.
Paradise Inn is a 3-in-1 casual dining concept which offers classic Cantonese and local cuisine. To find out what's so special about this place, I've decided to settle my dinner there.
The staffs were pretty attentive and polite, advising which of the menu items are not available at the moment. Most of the soups were sold out, hence we were left with the only option - Double-boiled Black Chicken with Spare Ribs and Ginseng which turns out to be pretty savoury afterall.
Most of their dishes come in S, M, L sizes and although their food were of good quality and taste, the price of bigger portion may be a little steeper than some other Chinese restaurants out there. However, it's still good to try out the culinary experience here to judge for yourself. I definitely will come back again.
Double-boiled Black Chicken with Spare Ribs and Ginseng - $16.80 per pot, just nice for 2 person. Savoury and nutritious.
The waiter will assist you to scoop into smaller bowl for consumption.
Sauteed Scallops and Asparagus with Spicy Homemade Sauce - $18.00 (S), I simply love how they cook the asparagus to just nice, crunchy but not too hard. Fresh scallops with the special sauce taste great too.
Crisp-fried Crystal Prawns with Salted Egg Yolk - $16.00 (S), one of my favourites, must try this! They are generous with the salted egg yolk which blends so well with the fresh prawns. Simply delicious and sinful haha!
Sauteed Baby Kai Lan with Oyster Sauce - $8.00 (S), tastes good but nothing really special and the price is a little overrated for simple vegetables.
Supreme Seafood Fried Rice - $12.00 (S), Not bad, you get to see lots of bits and pieces of prawns, tiny fish roes and spring onions on the golden looking fried rice. Probably I was half full so I din really finish it. It was quite a lot ok. :P
Every single of their cutlery set have their name printed on it. :P
