MELT The World Cafe (Mandarin Oriental Hotel)

Visited MELT to celebrate my Dad's birthday. The surrounding lighting was very dimmed and cozy, but this applies to the food area too, you might have to look very closely during selection.

The hospitality service was good, they show us around, explaining what they have and lead us to our seat with a smile. Noticed how they help to shift our chairs and fold our napkins when we are away.
We were seated near to the desserts area hence the delicious cakes, puddings and chocolate fondue immediately caught our attention.

However, the main cooked dishes varieties were kind of limited, one section for the Indian cuisine, the pratas were kind of hard, the curry were way too hot.
The Chinese section were kind of common, nothing spectacular, plain taste.
The smoked bacon looks nice at the display but was kind of tough after the first bite.

The sushi and sashimi section were also very limited, but still alright as at least there's salmon :P

The only good thing is the seafood section - fresh oysters, crayfishes, prawns and mussels, but the cons of it is that they dun replenish often.
So overall I would say, they should improve on their main dishes for the benefits of those who are not so into seafood and desserts, since it's stated as an international buffet place.
