Situated at Citylink Mall, a Taiwan established Japanese restaurant - Sushi Express selling each plate of their food items at $1.50 each only! Heard that it was initially $1.80 until they finally lowered the price. :D
If you happen to go at peak hour, you are advised to finish your meal within 50min as a goodwill to shorten the waiting time for new customers.
All food items are placed at the conveyor belt, and their Wasabi is packed individually in small packets like those for takeaway. I noticed their teabags are placed outside at each tables, not enclosed or sealed.
Overall, the food were pretty decent. Some of their must-try dishes are the Seared Salmon Belly sushi, Royal sized Scallop and Abalone in mayonnaise. The sea urchin sushi tastes a little bitter, miso soup is quite bland, salmon sashimi is considered quite fresh. At such a price, the meal is considered worthwhile and reasonable. 21 plates costs me around $37 (including gst & service charge).
